Catgen GR (Chlorantraniliprole, CAP) is a plant systemic insecticide belonging to the anthranilic diamide group. It has a unique mode of action as a Ryanodine Receptor Activator, disrupting normal muscle functions in pests. Activation of the Ryanodine receptors leads to the unregulated release of Ca2+ (calcium) from the sarcoplasmic reticulum in muscle cells, resulting in impaired muscle function, paralysis, feeding cessation, lethargy, and eventually insect death.

Early Shoot Borer (Chiloinfuscatellus) Top Borer (Scirphophaga excerptalis)
Uniformly broadcast Chlorantraniliprole granules at 4 kg/acre for rice and 7.5 kg/acre for sugarcane. For sugarcane, the application should be done in furrows at planting or at the base of young emerging shoots along the furrows, followed by irrigation.
Penetrates the plant and translocates within its systems, forming a reservoir within the leaf, providing enhanced crop protection- excellent solubility in aquatic conditions.
Rice : 15-35 DAT (Days after transplanting) for Rice.
Sugarcane : Application between planting to 1st irrigation is recommended for Early Shoot Borer while for Top borer application should coincide with the appearance of Top borer moths.
