Fipronil 5% SC is an insecticide used to control a wide range of insect pests. It is effective against stem borer, brown plant hopper, green leaf hopper, rice leaf folder, rice gall midge, white-backed plant hopper, and whorl maggot in rice.
It is also used to control diamondback moth (DBM) in cabbage; thrips, aphids, and fruit borer in chilli; early shoot borer and root borer in sugarcane; and aphids, jassids, thrips, whitefly, and bollworm in cotton.

Take the measured quantity of Funnel and add to it a small quantity of water. Stir thoroughly using a wooden stick. Add the remaining quantity of water, stir well to form a final spray solution.
Application Technique : Foliar spray using a high-volume nozzle fitted to sprayers such as knapsack sprayers, air-pressure foot pumps, hand rockers, or power-operated spraying machines may be used.
Rice: The Fipronil application should be given between 25 to 30 days after transplanting.
Cabbage: The first spray should be applied at 30 to 35 days after transplanting or when pest incidence is noticed, whichever is earlier. Repeat 2 to 3 sprays at an interval of 7 to 10 days.
Chilli: The first spray should be applied at 40 to 50 days after transplanting or when pest incidence is noticed, whichever is earlier. Repeat 2 to 3 sprays at an interval of 7 to 10 days.
Sugarcane: For early shoot borer, apply a foliar spray at 35 days after planting (DAP). For root borer, apply soil drenching at the time of planting.
