Pymozo
Pymetrozine is an insecticide and is recommended for the control of brown plant hopper in rice crop. It acts as a feeding inhibitor, disrupting the pests’ feeding mechanisms by affecting their nervous system. This leads to starvation and death of the insects.
Measure the required quantity of Pymax and mix it in small quantity of water and gradually add the rest of the water to prepare solution. Apply with knapsack sprayer when pest appears on the crop and repeat if necessary as per incidence. Maximum two sprays to be done starting first spray at initial pest infestation before reaching Economic Threshold Level
(ETL).
- Application technique : Foliar spray with sufficient quantity of water to ensure uniform coverage on leaves.
- Equipment Type : Knapsack sprayer.
The first spray to be given at the time of initial pest infestation i.e. pest reaching Economic Threshold Level (ETL) and repeat if necessary at 10-15 days interval depending upon pest pressure.
